Description
*Looking for talented developers with extensive WordPress experience to design and extend a scalable environment that supports a large number of high-traffic and high profile blogs.
*As part of a growing WordPress development team and environment, lead the technical analysis, solution design and development, schedule estimates, test new and existing code, deploy and maintain codebase to meet changing business objectives.
*Design and develop custom WordPress plugins, sites, and processes.
*Design, implement and maintain automated unit tests and contribute to regression testing.
*Document existing system and provide technical support.
*Estimate work items for other members of development team.
*Enhance software development procedures and introduce best practices to team members.
*Proactively research web and industry trends.
*Present and apply new technologies to enrich the business. Requirements: *Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study. *Resourceful in solving technical problems
*Experience implementing and supporting WordPress
*Knowledgable and proficient in general WordPress development and extending or developing custom plugins.
*High degree of interest and capacity to learn new technologies and environments *At least 1 year PHP development experience working in all aspects of a LAMP environment. *Experience in object oriented PHP 5 a must.
*Experience in creating PHPUnit tests
*Proven development experience across multiple languages (Java, .NET, etc) *Experience in SOA
*At least 5 years experience in some or all of the following: Javascript, XML, Smarty Templating Engine, jQuery, JSON, CSS, HTML, and MySQL.
*Experience in, and strong understanding of Model-View-Controller application design.
*Strong experience integrating PHP with database layers.
*Experience using the Subversion source control system.
*Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
*Ability to produce well commented, clean code written to specific coding standards. *Enterprise PHP development experience.
*Strong Linux experience from shell scripting to performance analysis and startup scripts a plus.
*Mobile web and JavaScript debugging experience a plus.
*Ability to pass LAMP competency testing during interview.Will be given priority: *Experience in Agile Development.
*Experience developing content management systems.
